A.A.M. Try LL (Chair)

Andrew attended Papplewick from 1973-79, followed by Malvern College, before graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Born into an entrepreneurial Windsor family, Andrew has followed the family tradition and created, grown, and sold a number of businesses. Andrew’s main venture is ComXo, which provides on-demand virtualised back office services to some of the largest professional services firms in the City. Andrew is passionate about his home town Windsor, and participates in a number of local Societies including Trustee of The Windsor Festival, Chairman of the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society. Andrew is also a trustee of the Windsor Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust and served as governor of the Berkshire College of Agriculture for 8 years. He is a trustee of the Prince Philip Trust and was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for Berkshire in October 2019, and became Lord Lieutenant for Berkshire in October 2023.

J.P.C. Frost Esq.

John is a Chartered Surveyor and Managing Director of The Frost Partnership, a private family firm. He is a keen sportsman and traveller. An Old Papplewickian, he became a Governor in 2011.

A.W.L. Lawson Esq.

Tobi has worked in cyber-security for 16 years as a sales professional with a broad range of experience selling technology solutions and consultancy services into a range of industries. His specialties include Security, Networking, Design and Build, Managed Services and Outsourcing, and he has been working for Cisco since 2022. His son went to Papplewick and he became a Governor in 2024.

T.G.F. Lord Esq.

Tim’s career started in brand marketing, developing into general management. During this time he worked in various countries in the Americas and Europe. He is active now in his family’s equestrian business, and with fundraising activities for the Conservative party and the Carlton Club.  All three of his sons were at Papplewick and he became a Governor in 2010.

A.R.McGregor Esq.

Andrew served as a Master at Harrow School for three decades. He was House Master of The Head Master’s House before his promotion to Harrow’s Senior Management Team in September 2012. As Senior Tutor he oversaw safeguarding and child protection as well as other areas of pastoral care and pupil welfare. Andrew taught Classics but maintains a keen interest in sport, drama and music (in particular the choral tradition). He became a Governor in 2017 and took over as Safeguarding Governor in April 2018.

Revd. Dr. B.G. McNair-Scott

Benji is an ordained Church of England priest who has been working as a chaplain and teacher at St Catherine’s school, Bramley since 2012. He lives in Guildford with his wife and four children and is a published author and keen sportsman. He became a governor in 2019.

Mrs. S. Rollings

Sarah is Headmistress at Heathfield School, Ascot. Her wide educational experience includes over 20 years in a range of roles in leading independent schools, including Senior Deputy Head at Cranford House, Oxfordshire, and Director of Sport at St Helen and St Katharine, Abingdon. Following achieving her first class degree in Secondary Education and being awarded both national and university prizes for her undergraduate work, she completed her MA in Educational Leadership and Management, followed by the University of Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at the Saïd Business School. Sarah is also a Director of the Girls Schools Association and Chair of the GSA Sports and Wellness Committee.

S.D. Walker Esq.

Simon qualified as a solicitor and practised in the City of London for 7 years after graduating from Oxford University. Since 1995 he has specialised in the training and development of lawyers and obtained an MSc in Human Resources in 2002. After a series of senior learning and development, HR and knowledge management roles with large international law firms, Simon now runs his own consultancy. Simon has a keen interest in sport and history and lives in North London with his wife, two children and two black labradors. Simon has been a Governor since 2011.
