On a slightly brighter day, a huge well done to all of our athletes who represented Papplewick at the Aldro Athletics Meet at the Guildford Spectrum. From Year 4 to Year 8, the boys competed brilliantly, showing determination, resilience and fantastic team spirit throughout the day. Just as impressive as the performances was the way they supported and encouraged one another from start to finish. To win the overall trophy is a wonderful achievement and one that every member of the team should be proud of. A fantastic day of athletics and a superb reflection of our STAG values in action. Our 8th trip to Madrid to visit our wonderful Spanish families was as special as ever. It was fantastic to catch up with so many old boys and meet plenty of new ones too. The Papplewick family stretches far beyond our school walls, and seeing those connections continue to thrive is something we are incredibly proud of. A particular highlight was meeting one former pupil who proudly posed with a Papplewick Prospectus and yes, that's him in the prospectus photo as a Papplewick boy! Papplewick's Got Talent 2026! What an incredible showcase of courage, creativity and talent from our boys at Papplewick! From outstanding singers and talented musicians to energetic dancers, hilarious entertainers and even aspiring news reporters, the variety and quality of performances on display was truly remarkable. Standing up and performing in front of the entire school is no small feat. It takes confidence, preparation and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. Every boy who took part demonstrated tremendous bravery and should be immensely proud of themselves. Events like Papplewick's Got Talent remind us that success isn't just about winning; it's about having the ambition to try, the tenacity to prepare, the growth that comes from challenging yourself and the service of sharing your talents with others. Congratulations to all of our performers for putting on such an entertaining afternoon and thank you to the staff and audience members who helped create such a supportive atmosphere.
