SCHOOL'S OUT!!
And just like that, it's the end of another brilliant year!
A massive thank you goes to all the parents, boys and staff for making it as great a year as it was. And what a speech day to round it all off!
A massive thank you to our guest speaker, Lieutenant General Philip Jones, as well as a big well done to our Head Boy, Michael for his brilliantly written speech!
Whilst there can only be so many winners of prizes, every single boy has played a part in making our school what it is and we could not be luckier to have such a brilliant group of pupils!
We will miss our leaving Year 8s greatly, but we know they will be in safe hands wherever they leave us to go.

The two Papplewick Go-Kart racing teams had a truly wonderful day out at Goodwood Race Circuit on Sunday.
Team 'Pappybara' : Wilbur, Mason, Rafferty, Edward, and George, and the second team, 'The Stag': Matthew, Rex, Joey, Eamon, and Rohan - all had a jolly time in quite sultry conditions on their race day in East Sussex.
The boys designed their own karts' bodywork and were also responsible for repairing and servicing the mechanical parts, as well as reassembling the electrics.
On race day, the boys were tasked with several events: the slalom, a pit stop challenge, a chicane sprint, and for one lucky boyThe Lap of Champions, where one driver from each team raced their kart against the clock around the entire Goodwood circuit.
Despite the hot conditions, the boys worked very hard throughout the day, all demonstrating impressive skills and, of course, exemplary teamwork.
Although they did not win any trophies this year, The Stag team achieved 1st place out of 85 karts in the sprint time trial, where the fastest kart in a straight line, wins. They were also placed 6th in the slalom race, which required precise weaving in and out of cones.
Needless to say, the boys slept very well once they returned home. Very well done, the 2025 Papplewick Go-Kart teams!

It's hard to believe, but these Year 8s once took their first Papplewick steps in Year 2. They were hosted to some food and fizz (soft beverage of course) at the Year 2 Survivors Lunch at Chez Bunbury, joined by Mrs M'Crystal who returned to celebrate their journey.
An absolute scorcher of a day to go with it, you couldn't ask for more!

A great day hosting @cornwallhill last Friday. A thrilling game with some exceptionally fast bowling and big hits!
